ZF Façade case study in Porcelette (57): parapet-style building with mezzanine

Based in Porcelette, ZF Façade, a company specialising in façade renovation and insulation, commissioned a building from us to support the growth of its business. What it needed: a well-organised, insulated building with storage on the ground floor (equipment, materials, site preparation) and offices on the first floor for administration and project tracking.

The company faced three major challenges on this project:

Combining two distinct uses (logistics space and administrative offices) within a single building envelope. A brief of this kind called for careful thinking about how volumes and access points were arranged.

Meeting high aesthetic expectations: a carefully detailed parapet, clean finishes and an exterior in keeping with a professional setting.

Building energy performance in from the design stage, as a defining parameter of the project rather than an afterthought.

The solution chosen by Steel Shed for Business is a parapet-style building, selected for its modern lines and clean finishes. The envelope is built from insulated sandwich panels, for better indoor comfort and pleasant working conditions all year round. The building is fitted with:

• 4 sectional doors, to make manoeuvring and loading/unloading easier

• 1 standard personnel door for everyday pedestrian access.

To make the most of the volume available, a mezzanine was included to create offices on the first floor. The ground floor remains dedicated to storage, giving a clear separation between the logistics area and the administrative side. ZF Façade also took the opportunity to install photovoltaic panels, putting the roof to work and reducing energy costs over time.
