A world leader in construction materials production, LafargeHolcim Côte d'Ivoire called on the expertise of Steel Shed for Business to strengthen its storage infrastructure. The group's production volumes called for facilities suited to managing its raw material stocks, in particular for processing the clinker used to make cement.
LafargeHolcim Côte d'Ivoire faced two major challenges on this project:
Sourcing steel storage structures for clinker at very short notice, without disrupting the group's production continuity.
Obtaining substantial storage volume, with the technical assurances needed to make the investment last.
After discussions with the engineers and structural analysts in our in-house engineering team, the choice fell on welded plate girder structures in high-strength steel, hot dip galvanized for lasting durability and strength:
Support before, during and after delivery, with the technical advice required to install structures of this scale.
Assistance with the reinforced concrete foundation blocks, to increase the storage volume available.
Delivery of 7,500 m² of hot dip galvanized steel structures to Abidjan, to controlled lead times, supporting the group's production continuity in Côte d'Ivoire.
