Innovafeed case study in Nesle (80)

Based in France, Innovafeed is an industrial biotechnology company pioneering large-scale insect protein production. Its project: to build one of the first French plants dedicated to this type of production, an unprecedented undertaking at the meeting point of biology, industry and innovation.

Innovafeed faced four exceptional challenges on this project:

Designing technical environments that had never been built before (specialised units for rearing larvae, hot and cold rooms), subject to extremely strict temperature and humidity requirements, with no existing benchmark on the market.

Meeting demanding regulatory requirements: structural calculations approved by an independent inspection body, calling for the level of rigour expected on sensitive industrial projects.

Building a fully custom solution, with no suitable standard offer available. Co-development was not an option but the very condition of the project.

Working with contacts at CEO level, where every decision carried major strategic and financial weight.
